We are a family of believers in Yeshua the Messiah who believe the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is thoroughly Hebrew in nature, rooted in a Hebraic worldview and in the story of God's covenant relationship with Israel, and the whole counsel of Scripture remains relevant for His people today.
We also seek to honour the covenant name God revealed to Moses, represented by the Hebrew letters יהוה and commonly written YHVH. We believe there is value in restoring an awareness of the Name God Himself revealed, while recognising that sincere believers use different forms and titles when speaking of Him. We do not make pronunciation or terminology a test of fellowship.
We desire to walk in the ancient paths of biblical faith, allowing Scripture to speak within its original Hebraic context and seeking to live faithfully according to the ways of God.
We believe salvation is a free gift of grace through faith in Yeshua (Jesus). Our obedience does not earn redemption. Rather, because we have been redeemed, we desire to walk as Yeshua walked and to live according to the instruction God has given His people.
That means we honour the seventh-day Sabbath (Shabbat), observe the appointed times (Moedim) of the Lord, seek to follow the biblical instructions concerning food, and recognise the continuing relevance of Torah as God's instruction, applied faithfully according to whom each commandment pertains.
As a fellowship, we do not recognise Sunday as a replacement for the seventh-day Sabbath, nor do we observe Christmas or Easter. We choose instead to order our worship and yearly rhythm according to God's calendar as revealed in Scripture, honouring the Sabbath (Shabbat) and His appointed times (Moedim).
We hold these convictions sincerely, but we do not desire to condemn those who understand or practise these things differently. Our prayer is that each of us would remain humble before God and allow the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, to convict, teach and lead us into all truth and righteousness as we search the Scriptures and seek to walk faithfully before Him.
We love and honour the Jewish people and believe God has not rejected or replaced Israel. We believe those from the nations who put their faith in Messiah Yeshua are brought near and grafted into the rich root of Israel, sharing in God's covenant purposes through Messiah.
At the same time, we do not believe following Yeshua requires someone to become culturally Jewish or to adopt every Jewish tradition. We value the Hebrew roots of our faith and learn from Jewish history, language and tradition where they help us understand Scripture, but the Word of God remains our authority.
We are also not defined by opposition to Christianity or the wider Church. Our desire is not to build a fellowship around what we reject, but around whom we follow.
The Way is intended to be a safe place for people wherever they are on that journey.
Some may have walked this path for many years. Others may only be beginning to ask questions about Shabbat, Torah, the biblical feasts, Israel or the Hebraic foundations of their faith.
All are welcome to come, learn, ask questions, search the Scriptures and grow.
We gather as family to worship, pray, study the Word, share food, encourage one another, teach our children, celebrate the appointed times and grow together as disciples of Yeshua.
Our desire is simple: to feed the flock with truth, to keep Yeshua at the centre, and to walk together in the ancient path.
